Stencils can be used with most paints as well as stencil pastes giving your stencil work texture.  Stenciling can be done with a stipping brush or sponge.  These have a flat head.  Pounce your brush or sponge in a up and down motion.  To avoid your paint 'bleeding', load your brush/sponge with paint, and off-load excess - you want as little paint on your brush/sponge as possible.  Rather repeat the process for a clearer image.  We recommend beginners practise before stenciling on your project.  Clean after use with a bit of soapy water and a soft nail brush.  Once you have perfected the art of stenciling, it can be very rewarding and so much fun.
